Remembering To Rejoice

The Jews were often told to remember great acts of deliverance and remind their children of these acts. Why are those stones set up there? Why do we celebrate Passover? What is the meaning of this or that festival? Esther in that same regard answers the question for following generations as to why the Jews celebrate Purim. The Jewish calendar begins and ends in March, it begins with Passover and ends with Purim. This celebration is described for us in our passage this morning but points us to a greater celebration, a greater rescue, and what our response should be.
