"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
-Matthew 28:19-20

Our Mission

We exist to give glory to God as we follow the Holy Spirit in guiding thirsty people to the saving, transforming, and overflowing well of Christ's Grace.

Our Vision

We long to  create a community of authentic, Gospel centered believers who seek to see our city transformed by the life changing and radical Grace of Jesus Christ.

"Following the flagship of the Gospel"

"Be planted in the soil of the Word"

"We are all missionaries"

"We don't do church clothes"

"The Church is people, not a building"

Everything is His, Everything is His, Everything is His"

Our Core Values

Seeing the Great Commission accomplished is the Mission of our Church. Here is how that plays itself out in our  context.

Gospel Centered

We believe that the Gospel of God's Grace is at the center of the Scriptures and is the very "power of God" (Rom 1:17). Because of this, we seek to align all that we do under the flagship of the Gospel. This works itself out in:

  • Worship that is Christ centered
  • Preaching that exalts Christ
  • Community that revolves around Christ

Biblically Focused

The Bible is the ultimate authority, standard, and guide for the follower of Jesus (2 Tim 3:16). We seek to root every decision we make in the Scriptures for ultimately God is the one who is wise (1 Cor 1:25). We passionately believe that the Bible is essential to growth In Christ. We put this into practice through:

  • Expository Preaching
  • Biblical Eldership
  • Inductive Bible Studies

Missional Urgency

The Mission of Christ is to "go into  all the world and make disciples.." (Matt 28:18-20). Jesus has placed this responsibility on His Church (Rom 10:14-17) and we believe that every Christian is a missionary in their own context. With us this looks like:

  • Supporting Missionaries and Church Plants
  • Regularly offering short term missions
  •  Missional focused small groups

"Be planted in the soil of the Word"

"We are all missionaries"

Honest about Brokenness

It is very easy to simply play the church game, which is why we emphasize honesty concerning our spiritual health. Knowing that God's grace is sufficient for us because His power is made perfect through weakness (2 Cor 12:9) is essential as we attempt to be real before God and others. At Springs we:

  • Promote honest, accountable relationships
  • Emphasize intentional small groups
  • Have leaders who don't have it all together

Relationally Oriented

Life in America can very easily become individualistic. The Church exists to operate in community, not isolation (1 Cor 12, Eph 2, Heb 10:24-25). Remembering that the Church is Jesus' visible body of believers rather than a building leads us to:

  • Seek the well being of  our city
  • Invest in the messiness of relationships
  • Emphasize a servant identity rather than a consumer mindset

Open-handed Living

"The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him" (Psalm 24:1). Everything that we have is given to us to steward well for the Glory of God (Matt 25:14-30). While God does not need our money, what we do with what He has given us reveals the deepest desires of our hearts. At Springs we:

  • Emphasize stewardship over guilt
  • Encourage all members to serve
  • Seek to give away our best people as they are called out by the Spirit
