The book of Deuteronomy has a ton to say about idolatry and in this week's passage Andrew takes a look at two of the major idols in American culture: politics and money. Using with the famous Shema, 6:4-9, Andrew shows that idolatry is not just about carvings or statues we bow down to but rather good things that become ultimate. How do we uproot our idols? By the expulsive power of a greater affection.
